Time for a drink?
The only reason I am writing tonight is that I missed the hashA drinking club with a running problem. I was stuck at work too late again, so wound up missing the only night I am alowed to drink, on probably the day I most want to have a nice soothing beer. So, I broke my rule about no drinking at home... the new rule is no drinking at home unless it is Wednesday (hash> day). I guess it wil give me more time to sit down and work on my new little project here... but I really wanted to hash tonight.. with customers complaining about their email and my only current "official" project (meaning a project with a deadline as opposed to projects to be done 'when there is free time' that really require official status) falling behind.. despite the fact that I started this personal web site at the same time, and have already progressed way beyond the work project, out-pacing it by over a week, even though the time-spent ratio favours the work project about 10 to 1. (ten hours a day for work... one for my own project) Of course, without the research I did for the work project, I would not have been able to make this site as it is, but it's just sad to me that if I had been doing the work project alone, it would have been complete a week ago... instead I have to rely on (and wait wait for and coash, and spend even more time than the amount of time it would take to do it myself) other people.... Makes me want a beer tonight.
And so I drink.
I havnt checked the full access reports yet (its only been one day since going live), but with just a quick skan of the logs, I notice that 3 people did access at least the top page (50% of hte site). If I assume one was mom and dad, the other was Tomoe, that means at least one person who I never told about the site found it somehow... wierd.
Tutorial on cross-browser DHTML (just a link for myself...)
I guess I should not have had the beer tonight. It appears I would have been better off with tea.

Glad you have given up beer--it's a bad expensive habit. On the otherhand tea cures all sorts of stuff like death
