Photos of Kichijyoji
I have been less active in photo taking recently. Partly because walking the exact same path from the train to work every day gets a little old. Likewise, the same trail from work to the bread shop at luch gets old. I have also had some other things on my mind, and find it hard to enjoy much of anything... hopefully this will subside soon.

The shot of the boy on the bike is very well done.
Keep your chin up mate

Yepp, love the site and the pics :)
What's with the power/phone lines? Why are they like that?

Which power lines exactly are you wondering about? The ones in the photo below, or above? Althoug either way I'm not sure I can answer you as to why they are like that... it's just that crazy Japan again.

I really think your photos are getting stronger all the time. The photo of the man with the cigarette "number 22": it's like he's pinned in the corner and desperately trying to get some "fresh air" by sucking on his cigarette.
The boy with the bike photo is a winner in terms of effect and composition, but the top one of the construction site, with the guard blocking the way and the camera peeking just past him into another room is strong for different reasons. Maybe it is the confrontation with the camera that evokes something more specific regarding your subject. That he is looking back at me as I look at him makes me both want to avert my eyes, and stare back at him.
I think I am most drawn to your portraits of men in the workplace. One of my favorites (I think it IS my favorite, though there is ever-growing competition) is still the top photo in "New Traffic Light" on August 13th, though the photos of the ballpark for the Jazz Festival have a special place for me right now because I've spent so much time this summer at the ballpark or watching it on an internet-stream with Jack (he's all about the Red Sox).
Keep up your photography - even if you're a bit down - or perhaps, especially so.
