Fuh-guh-gew
This pot of lentil sprouts is a trial run of our "FGHGEW" project .(an acronym for Fresh Green and Home Grown Even in Winter, pronounced "fuh-guh-gew"). We are looking for some help making a catchier name for the project. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Of course, we didn't grow the lentil, but in the winter we will use our own soy or Kentucky Wonder Beans (thanks dad) for the sprouts.

Did you ever get any beans from the seeds I sent? If so, were they long beans as I remember?

Not sure if they were as long as you remember (I don't remember how long you remember them to be), but we got a lot. We ate some, but there were too many so instead of pickling them, we left them on the vine until the bean got good and big. We are drying the beans now and will eat them over the winter, or sprout them and eat the sprouts and bean together, as in the photo above.

I just read your last post and I was wondering if your acronym (FGHGEW) intentionally sounds like "F--- You" (fuh-guh-gew) with a stutter. If so, I have a couple other ideas for you:
maybe instead of the "GEW" at the end try
Y - Yields
A - Allyear
H- Harvest
Or
Y- Year-round
A- at home
H- Harvest
Then you have "Fuh-guh-Yah!" and it sounds a little more up beat.
Just some ideas. The beans look good and let me know how that works out...not having a garden or yard, we've tried growing onions and strawberries but our onions look like grass and we did get a couple strawberries (ate 2 today actually) but the vines are totally taking over our balcony so we've got to do something about it. What works well indoors and doesn't require 10 pots?

I had never thought of that. I guess I am not that sick. But I like your idea.
