Gumption
Just finished three great days with Linda, a client from Okinawa who was on vacation trying to see the rest of Japan. As she described herself in her initial email, she has "gumption" this means that she was fine to ride up up up for a full day only to find the downhill covered in snow - so we walked walked walked down the hill.
The home-made sake from the inn took it's toll, and headaches on the second day were not ideal, but like I said, she has gumption.
Our biggest worry is that she may steal Mona from us. She was a great baby-sitter. I feel like we should pay her instead of the other way around!

Wow. What a view! And love that the steep and windy road has no guard rail- guard rails are for wimps right?
And I know you're the expert but isn't someone's helmet on back to front?

Very observant heather. I didn't notice her helmet until we made it half-way down the hill. Of course I had to get a photo before telling her. :)
The guard rails are taken down in the winter because the snow will crush them, and also they push snow off the cliff when they clear the road, so they have to take off the rails for that too.

Still so much snow!?! And I who hate Norwegian winter for beeing too long! We actually have first flowers blooming already, and the last of the snow melted at least 10 days ago!

There is still a meter or more in the higher altitudes. The cherry blossoms are blooming, as are some of the early spring veggies. A few trees have baby green leaves on them.
