The days are just flying by here so i didn't realize how long it had been since i put anything on this site. Too much is going on...or so I like to pretend. I'm working hard on my classes-surprising even myself with the amount of effort and time I'm puting in to this semester. Even stranger yet, I find myself looking forward to doig the homework and readings! I guess that must be a sure sign of a boring life.

Not too boring though, i guess, as I just booked my plane tickets for the end of June. I got a round trip flight from Copenhagen to Seoul for $62.02 thanks to frequent flier miles. Not too shabby! I'm going to Seoul to meet up with Jin for about 10 days before heading to Tokyo for my field work.

I've also become a gym-junkie. I noticed something quite worrisome a couple weeks ago. Everytime I went into the grociery store and passed by the candy isle my hand would instincitively reach out and grab a bar of chocolate. Likewise, everytime I passed the beer isle I would grab a beer or two. I realized then that things have gotten out of control and it was time for a 'white month', as the Swedish call it. Basically, a self-imposed ban on beer (and all alcohol when possible) and chocolate (and all sweets if possible). I also stepped up my gym visits. it's been 2 weeks now and I am feeling great! (I must confess though, last night I went to a birthday party and slipped up big time...they had 5 different kinds of cake, chocolate balls, and candy...not to mention beer. And tonight there is my corridor's party...but as of tomorrow I'm back on track.

Actually, yesterday at the party someone told me about a half-marathon in June that I am pretty psyched up about. It is called the Broloppet and it is 21k starting in Denmark and finishing in Sweden. I used to run a lot and have run a half-marathon and a full marathon before but quite some time has passed since then so we'll see what happens. Can't wait till tomorrow to start my 'training'. June is going to be such an exciting month...a half-marathon AND a reunion in Seoul!
