What is mfop?
Mfop is a program that allows people who are not web-gurus to post images and text to a weblog from mobile devices such as phones and Clie (or any other non-mobile email program for that matter) without having to install or configure any programs on their mail server.

Why mfop?
Because I saw a lot of people talking about posting to their moblog via email, and at the same time, I have friends who aren't web-gurus. I thought they must have a hard time configuring their email to use the various programs available As I was thinking this, I saw people commenting about just that problem on their sites.
If you don't have the know-how, or access to configure any of the other programs that post form email to blog, you can simply register via an online form, and start posting away.
The number of people using Mfop is growing slowly but surely, and the program is becoming more stable and growing to meet the various needs and requests of the people using it. Hopefully all you have to do is register and it will work perfectly for you. If (however unthinkable) you do have troubles, please let me know. I'll do my best to fix it up as soon as possible for you.
How to Mfop?
This is a crash course in Mfopping. As every day passes users seem to find more and more ways to "break" the program. I'm compiling a list and I will be creating a more in-depth instruction page soon. For now,
MT Users
- Create a new Author on your MoveableType blog with limited permissions to
1)Post
2)Upload
3)Rebuild (if you want the changes to be live imediatly) - Visit the registration form and enter you mobile address add some information about your blog.
- Take a picture.
- Write an email in which the first part of the subject line contains your mfop password between "[" and "]" or "(" and ")"
- Still in the Subject line of your email, but after [yourpassword] enter any text that will become the title of the post.
- In the body of the email, use the tiny keypad to type in anything you want to be in the message part of your post.
- Attach the image
- Hit send

From: mymobileaddress@mobile.com To: mfop@bastish.net Subject: [mymfoppass]This is the subject of the post! Hi Everyone this is the post body of my very first mfop moblog post! Ain't it grand? _MORE_ Anything below the "_MORE_" part will be in the Extended entry of my post! _EX_ Anything below "_EX_" will be an excerpt!
