It's amazing what I can get done when it rains. Not that I am usually so busy that I don't have time to sit in front of the computer all day... come to think of it I don't remember doing anything else for the last several weeks... but the rain does allow me to justify the complete lack of physical exertion... without it I would never have finished this first version of the bastish netif you are looking at this before I have actually moved it from the development server, this link doesn't work... but you are already here anyway so kick back and relax and enjoy commentary. It's like how I love long flights... where else can I feel totally free from guilt that I am doing absolutly nothing but kicking back with a pile of books, magazines, newspapers, and a non-stop flow of free booze?
I also probably would not have written so much for one day's post. But since this is my new toy, today's will be long and full of crap that nobody cares about.
I'm a couple day's late with this one, and I am sure everyone has heard of it since it was on the BBC (not just Japan) but it is still amazing, and I didn't even have a web site a few days ago so... Since this obviously re-enforces the stereotype of a Japanese tourist that many non-Japanese (and Japanese as well) have, I have been trying to find some articles in the Japanese press about this, to see how they portray it, but no luck yet... probable because my Japanese search skill suck.

Since I quit drinking beer at home, thinking I could save 500 yen/day, I am afraid that I am actually spending more on gas to heat up the 5+ kettles of tea. (and that is on weeknights... today, having only left the house once (to buy more tea) I drank over 13...
