Tomoe has her first taste of cup noodles. Ever!
I took down my site so I wouldn't step on your toes again. (Actually, the site isn't going anywhere. I'm transferring the registration to Dotster, and my old registrar is giving me a hard time.)
As for the cup noodle, a lot of people would consider it strange that a Japanese person hadn't eaten it before. My wife also has a low opinion of cup noodle, a mainstay of college students worldwide, I think. She won't let me eat it, and quietly discards the free ones given to us by an acquaintance who works at Nissin in Kyoto. Her words: "It's not made with preservatives, it's made OF preservatives." I took her for her first bowl of Yoshinoya a couple years ago while killing time before a movie. I think it has kind of a dubious oyaji image to her.
