I went to the gym today.
I can't believe I took a break from my excruciating thesis revisions to come visit your site, only to find your entry completely devoid of all the deep and important things we talked about.
Note to All Bastish Readers: Kevin has lots of impressive musings on the "nature of nature" that were supposed to go in today's entry. For example, how can we know when we are pushing the limits of biodiversity? How can we know when a threshold for deforestation is imminent? Do we even *need* to know these things? Since every time we step on grass we are somehow destroying the earth, how do we measure "systematic" degredation?
Readers, you are being deprived.
That's because he's saving them for his book.
Kevin, your photos of Sweden make me feel guilty for not getting up earlier in the morning and going out to shoot. It's a whole different world at that time of day, even here.
BTW, Kevin, I've been meaning to ask you since you dumped your captcha and went with this extra click to the comments page, is that working? Can I implement that without shell access? Those Hungarian brothers or whoever they are that are bulk spamming blogs keep getting past my MT-Blacklist. I want to do something else, or Migrate from MT to drupal or something with required login.
How do I know you aren't just a spammer trying to learn my secrets?
It does work by the way. I have not had any spam since doing this.
When even the idealistic young ecologist is as cynical as the rest of us SOBs, wht chance do any of us have?
